no options in that situation she was boxed in

officer McLaughlin with his glock pinned to her shell
made the choice real simple jail or some tail
death a silent suggestion with every breath he exhaled
and left with her a child she could never tell of this tale

the hardest 9 months would follow swallow survival the motto
bottled the anger to spare the baby hostility
after 10 hours of labor she brought her to this world
and abandoned all thoughts of a life of tranquility
